GLASGOW HAS CHRISTMAS WRAPPED-UP Once again Glasgow City Marketing Bureau (GCMB) has joined forces with the city's major retailers and partners to ensure that the city's retail crown shines brighter than ever this festive season through the Christmas Wrapped Up campaign.

Buchanan Galleries, St Enoch Centre, John Lewis, House of Fraser, Princes Square, Debenhams and Marks & Spencer are working with GCMB, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and Glasgow City Council for Christmas 2009, along with other key city partners.  

From Thursday 12th November, Glasgow's style mile, a compact and walkable hub of inspirational shopping, atmospheric cafes and fine restaurants, will be unwrapped for Christmas and twinkle under a canopy of lights, heralding the start of festivities and making for a truly magical experience.  Interactive light displays and projections plus a shimmering light procession and musical entertainment will dazzle young and old alike. 

What's more, every Thursday evening during Christmas Wrapped Up, shoppers on the style mile will also be treated to street entertainment, roving theatre, light projections and special events.
