
We want all visitors at Glasgow Ice Rink to have a safe and enjoyable experience. Please read the following information before you go on the ice and remember to listen to all instructions from the ice stewards.
Please take a few minutes to read the following safety information and ensure you follow the ‘Rules of Skating'.
Wear appropriate clothing
Ensure your skates fit well
Skate anti-clockwise
Listen to the Ice Stewards
Report all accidents to the Ice Stewards
Be patient and considerate to others
Leave the rink after your session has ended
Allow a child under 8 years to skate alone
Allow a child under 4 years on ice unless at a dedicated toddlers session.
Skate at excessive speed
Carry babies or small children onto the ice
Skate if you have been drinking or taking drugs
Smoke, eat or drink on the ice
Use MP3 players or headsets
Play tag or any other such games on the ice
Enter the rink without skates
Sit or climb over the rink barrier
Skating is not suitable for:
o Pregnant women
o Anyone with a heart condition
Skating is entirely at your own risk. The management will not be responsible for any loss or injury incurred.
This includes;
o injuries that result from collision or contact with other skaters or other individuals who are on the skating surface
o injuries that result from fallso injuries that involve objects or artificial structures that are within the properly intended path of travel of the skater.
CCTV is in operation for the safety of our guests and staff. If needed this will be used in prosecution.
Skaters and spectators understand and agree to the following:
o The staff decision on access is final
o Access is entirely at staff/management discretion
o Skaters asked to leave or removed from the rink area will not be refunded for their session fee if breaking this code of conduct.
